Confidentiality

The RDSEM is committed to the highest standards of service and to the principles of good research practice and governance. Consequently all enquiries that the service receives will be treated in the strictest confidence, and any information that you share with us will be treated in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Any information that you give to us, or any that we seek from you, will only be used to guide the advice and support that we offer in the development of your research design and funding application.

As a general principle we will not share your personal details, nor the details of your study or enquiry, with any external third party. On those occasions where it is necessary to consult with external experts, for example when your study requires specialist input that we cannot offer, we will discuss this with you and seek your consent before doing so.
